  • Its a blessing - 2007 Lexus ES 350

This is my first brand new car, and to drive it is so much fun, its very comfy and looks good too. The only problem I have with the car is that there are too many of them around now. Copycats! Also, I use to drive like a racer before, but this car definitely calms you down and encourages you to enjoy the ride. Absolutely love it.

I have 160k on my 2003. I bought this because I was tired of my Xterras hard suspension. So I wanted a reliable and comfortable car. I thought the reliability would be bullet proof. Ok so it is reliable. Except at about 90k my battery died. So I immediately bought a new one on the same day. Next day battery died again. So I did recharge and never had prob again. I also had to replace the A/C at 90k. Other than that, the rear right window wont go down. So I guess you may say that Ive been fortunate.

Weve had this car for a month now and it has been everything we could want. Its stylish, very comfortable, great handling, and fast. The best way to describe it is it is the ultimate in smooth. Every electronic feature I could imagine is included.

  • Pretty good, but... - 2007 Lexus ES 350

Car looks great, is quiet and comfortable, with many nice touches. Initial build quality was not up to Lexus standards - multiple trips to dealer to address creaks and rattles, especially in and around dashboard. Center console is uncomfortable (padding on top is too thin), and it is frustrating that the nav is largely inoperable when moving (especially as the voice recognition is flakey). Also, the standard audio is barely adequate, especially regarding bass output. All that being said, this is still the best car that I could find in its price range, given its variety of features & functions, and its quietness, comfort & power.

  • First Lexus, but not the last - 2007 Lexus ES 350

Purchased this fantastic car on 9/26/2006. What you immediately notice is how quiet the car is. Once you start to drive the car, you will marvel at the incredibly smooth ride. The car glides down the road as if it were on a cushion of air! The steering is quick giving the car a surprisingly agile feel. Maybe the IS 350 was meant to be the sportier car, but the ES 350 is no slouch! The car is quite fast off-the-line. The seats are extremely comfortable. If you like being pampered at an affordable price, this car is definitely for you. My wife chose the "Golden Almond Metallic" color and it looks terrific in the sun. Havent met anyone who doesnt like this color once they see it!

For the entry Luxury Car category, could not recommend more highly. Bought a 2007 CPO in summer 2010. Ruby/Tan appearance always brings praise. Quiet, smooth, with powerful acceleration. Maint: CPO-warr drivers window gasket, later a battery, MXV tires & shocks in late 2012. Mileage 21/33. After years of Detroit (no complaints) and 4 Camrys (run & run) this is the greatest stepup at an equivalent price (CPO vs Camry new). Love the comfort & non-ML sound. A Top Recommend.

  • Major problems steering rod, transmission, leak - 2007 Lexus ES 350
    By -

I have had this car for 4 years. It is a weekend car. The car is fun to drive. But I have had the transmission replaced, when it barely had 10,000 miles on it. It would change gears with a major kick. After a week my vsc came on. About a month ago when I would turn my steering wheel I would feel clicking noises. So back to the shop it went and their was a defect in the steering rods. I also had a oil leak and a plug was defective so they replaced that. Thank god! This car inst what I use daily.

  • Luxury at a value - 2007 Lexus ES 350

Very quiet, smooth riding vehicle. Has most features and feel of a luxury car sold at nearly double the price.

  • Nice to Look at - 2007 Lexus ES 350
    By -

Overall it is pretty much what I expected from Lexus, except the finicky transmission. It is quiet and despite what the competition thinks of its looks it gets plenty of second looks; its black with darkened windows and the spoked rims. It is often mistaken for the much more expensive LS by the uninformed including my boss and co-workers who ask "are we paying you too much?” and "how did you afford that". If only the transmission would settle on a gear and not want to jolt my bad back when in stop-and-go traffic or even the slightest incline I would give it a strong 9. Had to have a new transmission put in at 5000 miles, new transmission only slightly better.

  • Good for Gadget Geeks - 2007 Lexus ES 350

This car, loaded with high-tech features, offers a smooth, comfortable driving experience. Driving it has a "liquid" feel, with steering, braking, and acceleration smoothed out. However, you *do* feel the road beneath you; youre not so totally cocooned that you cant tell when youre going over cobblestones or speed bumps. The engine has more horsepower than earlier ES models, and there is an all-new 6-speed automatic transmission. Mine *did* require servicing within the first month to fix a brake rotor that was not machined properly and was causing a moaning sound; however, its worked fine after the servicing.
